Managing Arthritis

Arthritis affects 1 in 5 Australians, with the most common type of arthritis being osteoarthritis.

Often people find they develop arthritis as they age, particularly as their bones and joints start to weaken.

Exercise is one of the best treatments for arthritis.  Hydrotherapy is particularly good, as the buoyancy of the ater takes the pressure off your joints and can help make movement easier out of the water.

Physical Therapy's hydrotherapy pool is open Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm.  At a warm 34°C, it is the perfect place to do your regular exercise and help reduce the pain and immobility associated with arthritis.
